About NoUpload

Every time you upload a photo to an online image compressor, it lands on someone else's server. Maybe it gets deleted after an hour, maybe it lingers for days, maybe it gets scanned. You have no way of knowing for certain. For something as routine as shrinking a JPEG or merging two PDFs, that always seemed like an unnecessary trade-off.

That is why NoUpload exists. We believe file processing should not require file uploading.

How It Works

When you use a NoUpload tool, your browser does all the heavy lifting. We use a combination of modern JavaScript APIs and WebAssembly modules — compiled from battle-tested open-source codecs like MozJPEG, OxiPNG, and libwebp — to perform image and PDF operations directly on your device. The file you select is read from your local file system, processed in-memory by your browser, and the result is handed back to you as a download. None of this traffic passes through our servers.

You can verify this yourself. Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the network tab, and use any of our tools. You will not see a single outbound request carrying your file data.

What We Offer

We have fourteen tools and growing. Compress images, resize them to specific dimensions, convert between formats, crop with aspect ratio presets, blur sensitive areas, strip EXIF metadata, generate favicons and QR codes, convert HEIC photos to JPG, and work with PDFs — compress, merge, split, or convert images into PDF documents. Each tool is designed to do one thing well, with a clean interface and no unnecessary complexity.

Who This Is For

Anyone who values their privacy and wants capable file tools without creating accounts or uploading to third-party servers. Photographers who want to strip location data before sharing images. Developers who need quick favicon generation without installing a CLI tool. Office workers who need to merge a few PDFs without IT approval to install software. People who are simply tired of the "upload your file to our servers" model that dominates the web.

Sustainability

NoUpload is free and funded by advertising. We chose ads over subscriptions because privacy-conscious tools should be accessible to everyone, not just people willing to pay for a SaaS tier. The trade-off is a few ads on the page, which we think is fair given that your files remain completely private.
